Over the past few weeks, I’ve attended several user conferences, and not surprisingly, supply chain visibility remains a hot topic of conversation. And as I’ve written before, obtaining timely, accurate, and complete supply chain visibility remains the most elusive goal for companies. Manufacturers and retailers typically have very good visibility to some parts of their supply chain (e.g., the operations under their direct control) and very poor visibility to other parts (e.g., outsourced operations in developing countries).
What is the biggest blind spot in your supply chain? Take the Quick Poll below and post a comment to share your perspective. I’ll write more on this topic in a future post.
