Above the Fold: Supply Chain Logistics News (July 12, 2024)

Greetings from Burlington, VT, where the remnants of Hurricane Beryl dumped almost 2 inches of rain on Wednesday, and some additional rain yesterday. It’s dry today (so far), but there’s a chance of rain tomorrow when I’ll be cycling 100 miles (along with other Logistics Leaders for T1D Cure team members) at the Breakthrough T1D Ride.

If it rains, it’ll be deja vu all over again.

But I have no control over the weather. What I can control, however, is how much I fundraise to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes.  Over the past 24 hours, I’ve added several more Ns to my left leg and a few names to my right leg. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

I’m just $1,119 short of my goal. The good news is that it’s not too late to support the cause and add your N (for Type None) or name to my legs. You can make a tax-deductible donation here: http://www2.breakthrought1d.org/goto/ll4t1dcureteam

Thank you in advance for helping me “breakthrough” my fundraising goal and across the finish line. Together we will help create a world without type 1 diabetes!

Moving on, here’s the supply chain and logistics news that caught my attention this week:

Gotta run to the ride safety meeting this morning, then go for a short tune-up ride. I’ll share my commentary next week, along with photos and highlights from the ride.

Have a meaningful weekend!
