Driverless vehicles, drones, and 3D printing — three emerging technologies that will ultimately impact supply chain and logistics processes — are the top headlines this week. I’m on borrowed time this morning, so I’ll defer my commentary to next week. But it’s sufficient to say that the pace of change continues to accelerate in the supply chain and logistics world — everything from technology, regulations, and the competitive landscape to more demanding customer expectations — so it’s more important than ever for supply chain executives to stay informed of these trends and to model/simulate future scenarios and develop response plans accordingly.
